Baby Shower Decorating IdeasAbout baby shower decorating ideasEveryone wants the perfect baby shower, which includes beautiful and unique decorations. While you can use streamers and balloons, we wanted to provide you with some unique baby shower decorating ideas to make the party extra special. Keep in mind that to accomplish this, you do not necessarily have to spend a lot of money. Instead, simply be creative and consider some of the ideas we have provided. For starters, you can create a beautiful table by simply taking empty baby food jars with the labels removed. Fill the jars full of colored sand and then purchase miniature candles, which would be placed in the middle of the jar. Take colored pastel ribbons, tying a bow around the rim of each jar. When placed in the center of the table, these candles offer a nice touch. You can also make pacifiers out of two wintergreen lifesavers and a jelly belly. Using vanilla icing, you can secure the "pacifiers" together. Place a handful in a bowl, placed on the table as well as other rooms of the house for guests to munch on, which tastes great. Now, to decorate a wall, window, top of a door, or even around a table, you can take folded cloth diapers with pink or blue designs created with craft paint. With this, you could write A, B, C, 1, 2, 3, or the name of the baby if you know it. For the food and punch table, purchase a baby tub shaped like a whale. Clean it well with hot, soapy water and then use this as your punch bowl. To create the look, add a miniature yellow duck to float on the surface. To add to this table, use a themed lamp as the centerpiece. For instance, you could use a Winnie the Pooh lamp and then around the base of the lamp, place honey flavored candy. Obviously, the lamp would be a gift for the new mom and dad so you want to choose a lamp that fits in with their baby room décor.
Another great centerpiece is one where you place two squares of mirror so the tips are touching. Place a weighted balloon bouquet in the center and then around the base, sprinkle pink, silver, gold, and purple colored candy kisses. If you are using napkins, you could purchase inexpensive pacifiers to use as the napkin rings, which creates a very festive look. Then for placemats, use new cloth diapers! A great way to display gifts is to set up a new stroller for the mom and dad to be, filled with gifts. If a stroller will not be purchased, you could open a playpen, filling it with gifts. Then as small surprises for the soon-to-be parents, you can take miniature baskets, each filled with one or two small gifts. For instance, one basket could hold baby shampoo and powder, another soap and washcloths, another diaper rash and baby wipes, and so on. Have about ten setting around the house, each tied beautifully with a blue and pink bow.
