3 Fun Baby shower Games/ActivitiesAbout 3 Fun Baby shower Games/ActivitiesPlanning a baby shower requires a lot of attention. You want to choose the right foods, the right decorations, unique favors, great centerpieces, and so on. However, another aspect of hosting a baby shower is planning fun games and activities. As you will discover, there are some great ways to get guests and the parents-to-be involved, making the occasion something memorable and fun. For starters, take four-inch pieces of white paper and fold them all into the shape of a diaper. On the inside of one or two pieces, smear Dijon mustard to represent a dirty diaper. Then with miniature gold safety pins, close the top of the "diaper" so people cannot see inside. Place these diapers in a basket and as each guest arrives, pin a diaper on. At the end of the day or evening, everyone will open the diaper and the person or persons who have a dirty one would get a nice door prize. Another fun game for the baby shower is the game "Don’t say "baby". With this, each guest would be given a clothespin upon arrival. The guests would then be told that if they hear anyone say "baby" during the course of the shower, they take that person’s clothespin. At the end of the baby shower, the person with the most clothespins wins something special. A Christmas ornament, candle, movie tickets, or something small would be ideal.
Then, you can play a game similar to The Price is Right. In this case, you would buy a number of baby items, which would be donated to the parents. For instance, buy a box of diapers, baby wipes, baby bottle, powder, washcloths, t-shirts, and so on. Hang onto your receipts or keep track of the prices. Then on the day of the baby shower, lay the items out on a table. Have each guests write down their estimated price and the person who gets the closest for each item without going over wins something small like a candy bar. Then the person who gets the most right overall would get a little nicer prize. For smaller baby showers, the penny game is also fun and a great icebreaker. For this, you would need a penny for each guest but all with different years. As guests arrive, hand them a penny and ask them to remember the date. Then, put all the pennies into a jar. As the day progresses, the mother to be would pull a penny out and call out the year. The person that had that penny has to tell a story about the mother, something funny but not embarrassing.
